At the Goodenough Guesthouse, we offer value for money B&B accommodation without sacrificing quality. You will also find a friendly and hospitable welcome, and our guests invariably say they feel relaxed and at home staying here. We try to ensure that your stay is as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

When you stay in our accommodation, you can be sure of:

  • A comfortable bed with a pocket sprung or high-quality memory foam mattress.
  • A high-definition TV in the room. All our TVs are Panasonic, Sony or Samsung, and most have 32” screen and HD channels (e.g., BBC1 HD, ITV1 HD etc.).
  • A good breakfast.

We also provide other facilities for guests (parking, Wi-Fi Internet access, and a communal kitchen and laundry facilities), for which there is no additional charge.

How to Book

We try to answer all emails within 24 hours, but occasionally this is not possible, so please be patient. If your booking is urgent, please phone us on 020 8715 7945.

Before your booking is confirmed, we will need your credit / debit card details as security to hold the booking. In the interest of security, we recommend that you phone us with your card details.

Check-in / Check-out

Times for check-in and check-out are:

  • Check-in from 2pm
  • Check-out by 12pm (mid-day)

Please note that we do not have a 24 hour reception. Please let us know if you wish to arrive very late in the evening (i.e., after 11 pm).

If you would like to arrive in the morning, you can drop off your luggage and collect the keys.

When checking-out, guests are welcome to leave their luggage with us during the day for collection later.

Payment

Payment is usually made at the end of your stay.

Payment can be made by debit / credit card, bank transfer, cheque or in cash. Please note that we are unable to accept Amex cards. There is a 3 percent additional charge for credit card payments, which is what we are charged by the bank. There is no additional charge for debit card payments.

For guests staying longer than one week, we usually take payment at the end of each week.

Cancellation

For cancellation within 7 days of arrival, there is a cancellation charge equal to the cost of the first night’s accommodation. However, there will be no charge if we are able to re-let the accommodation.

If you do not show up on your expected arrival date, we will take full payment from your credit/debit card. If you ask to alter or reduce your booking after arrival, you may be charged in full for the accommodation as originally booked.

For cancellation more than 7 days prior to arrival, there is usually no charge. However, we may make a cancellation charge equal to the cost of the first night’s accommodation if we are unable to re-let the accommodation and we have declined other booking requests because all our rooms would have been fully occupied.

Please note that it is not possible to cancel bookings during the period of the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Any cancellations during this period will be liable for payment in full.
