page image 9By Car – you can get directions from the AA Route Planner (http://www.theaa.com). Our postcode is SW19 3QW.  It is usually easier and quicker to take the M25 motorway than to travel directly through London. You should leave the M25 motorway at Junction 10 and take the A3 north until you see the sign for Wimbledon.

By train / Underground – you can plan your journey on the National Rail (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk) and Transport for London (http://www.tfl.gov.uk) websites. Unless you already have an Oyster card (or Travelcard ticket) for travel in London, you should purchase a ticket for your whole journey through to Wimbledon.

Directions for travel from London airports are given below. If you would rather travel from the airport by taxi, please ask us to book a minicab to meet you at the airport. Please note that it will be a lot more expensive to take a black London Cab from the airport. To book a minicab, we will need your full flight details (airport, terminal, flight number and arrival time), number of passengers, contact mobile phone number (if possible), and number of large and small suitcases or bags.

From Heathrow Airport – (journey time: 60 minutes by Underground) take the Piccadilly Line Underground to Earls Court, and then change onto the District Line Underground to Wimbledon. Make sure you take a District Line train that is terminating at Wimbledon, as the District Line has several branches.

From Gatwick Airport – (journey time: 45 minutes by train) take the National Rail train to Clapham Junction, then take the train to Wimbledon from Platform 11 at Clapham Junction.

Alternatively, take the National Rail train from Gatwick Airport to East Croydon, and then change onto the tram to Wimbledon. The tram stop is immediately outside East Croydon station, and you can get off the tram at the Dundonald Road stop, which is very close to our accommodation.

From Stansted Airport – (journey time: 90 minutes by train / Underground) you can take the National Rail train to Tottenham Hale. At Tottenham Hale follow the signs to the Victoria Line Underground and take a Victoria Line train going south as far as Vauxhall. At Vauxhall, leave the Underground station and follow the signs to National Rail. Take a train to Wimbledon from Platform 8 at Vauxhall Rail station.

Alternatively, you can take the EasyBus (http://www.easybus.co.uk/) from Stansted Airport to central London (Baker Street), and then take the Jubilee Line Underground to London Waterloo.

Finally, take the National Rail train to Wimbledon.
